(1) LNS Specialist – School Cafeteria

Fixed Term Full Time Position (20 January – 17 December 2021).

We are looking for a suitably qualified person to manage our school cafeteria and implement the Ministry of Education’s Healthy Lunches in schools initiative for 2021.

A job description is available on application.  Additional information about the free and healthy school lunches programme is available on the Ministry of Education website.

Essential skills include:

  • Demonstrate food handling and management experience (restaurant / cafe / catering) essential
  • Ability to plan and execute a nutritious menu utilising the Ministry of Education’s guidelines
  • The ability to manage and organise time and commitments effectively
  • Previous experience with budgeting/managing receipts, ordering and cost of goods
  • Able to work independently on day-to-day basis while ensuring effective communication with school leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under time pressure
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of bulk meals for over 1100 learners
  • Good people management skills.

(2) LNS Specialist – School Lunches

Fixed Term Part Time Position (Negotiable start – 17 December 2021)

We are looking for a suitably qualified person to collaborate with our LNS Specialist Cafeteria to implement the Ministry of Education’s Healthy Lunches in Schools initiative for 2021.  A job description is available on application.  Additional information about the free and healthy school lunches programme is available on the Ministry of Education website.

  • Demonstrated food handling experience – restaurant/cafe experience essential
  • Ability to plan and execute a nutritious menu utilising the Ministry of Education’s guidelines for over 1100 Learners.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team to manage and run a school cafeteria and lunches in school programme.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with external suppliers and agencies.
  • Able to work under time pressure.

(3) LDS Specialist – Archivist

Permanent, part-time position, Term Time Only (start date negotiable).

We seek an organised and self-motivated person with good communication skills to maintain our school records.

(5) LNS Assistant – Awhina Hub (2 positions)

Permanent, part-time position, Term Time Only (start 26 January 2021)

We seek a motivated, organised and supportive person to work with individual or small groups of learners who need assistance with some learning.  Ability to use digital technology and previous experience working with school children preferred but not essential.
