2026 In-Zone Enrolments
Learners moving into the Alfriston College zone who need to enrol for the current school year should either collect an enrolment pack from reception or download it using the 2026 Enrolment Pack link below.
Return the completed pack and required documentation to reception or email it to our Enrolment Manager using the email link below.
Once the completed enrolment pack and required documentation are received parents/caregivers will be contacted with the enrolment interview date and time. All learners must complete an enrolment interview to be enrolled.

2027 Enrolments
In-zone enrolment packs for Year 9 learners starting in 2027 will be provided through Manurewa/Takaanini feeder schools in August 2026. They can also be collected from reception or downloaded from this page in August. See below for zoning information.

Zoning
Learners who live within our school zone are entitled to attend Alfriston College.
The Board determines how many, if any, out of zone places are available each year. Out of zone application forms can be collected from reception in early August. The ballot is conducted under Police supervision and families are notified of the results before the end of Term 3. No late out of zone applications are accepted.
The Enrolment Process
4 August 2025 – In-zone enrolment packs start being delivered to contributing schools.
They may also be collected from the School office.
29 August 2025 – Completed Enrolment Packs due back to Alfriston College.
Please ensure you enclose all documents that are required for enrolment as per the front page of the enrolment pack.
19 November 2025 – New learner Home School Partnership meetings at Alfriston College, 2.50pm - 6.30pm.
Appointment details will be sent to families once completed enrolment packs are returned with birth certificate and proof of address. (Please note that if the learner and whānau don’t attend a Home School Partnership meeting that the learner can’t attend the Learner Experience Day and won’t be enrolled at Alfriston College.)
28 November 2025 – Learner Experience Day at Alfriston College
9.30am - 12 noon: Randwick Park School, The Gardens School, Other Schools not listed.
12.30pm - 2.45pm: Takanini School, Greenmeadows Intermediate School, Alfriston Primary School, Papakura Normal School, Manurewa Intermediate School.
The Alfriston College Board has determined that 10 places are to be available for Year 9 out-of-zone sibling learners of current learners who will be returning in 2026.
Out-of-zone Ballot Forms are available from Monday 4 August 2025 at our main reception. The ballot closes at 4.00pm on Monday 1 September 2025. The ballot will be drawn under Police supervision on Monday 8 September. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three - five school days of the ballot being held.
Ballot Priorities
Ballot entries for enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority:
- First Priority this priority category is not applicable at this school because the school does not run a special programme approved by the Secretary of Education.
- Second Priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of current learners.
- Third Priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of former learners.
- Fourth Priority will be given to applicants who are children of a former learner of the school.
- Fifth Priority will be given to applicants who are children of Board employees.
- Sixth Priority will be given to all other applicants.
If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth or fifth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G(l) of the Education Act 1989.
Applicants seeking second or third priority status may be required to give proof of a sibling relationship.
