Former Alfriston College learner Reece Oosterbeek has been awarded a scholarship to study for his doctorate at one of the world's top universities.
James Gawith, 24, Matthew Conder, 22, and Reece Oosterbeek, 25, have won Woolf Fisher Scholarships to study at the University of Cambridge in England.
Each scholarship has a value of approximately $300,000 and will cover the students' study and living costs.
Reece Oosterbeek has a masters degree in engineering. At Cambridge he hopes to study towards his Doctorate in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, researching medical implant material and his goal is to become a research professor in the field of medical materials and surface science.
