Innovative Curriculum @ Alfriston College

One innovative and unique approach to teaching and learning at Alfriston College is our 3 Day Learning Episodes. During this time, regular classes do not run, but learners opt into special three day programmes. These programmes are usually made up of learners from all ages and allow learning leaders to offer programmes that can't always be run in learning areas, to test ideas for future courses, to take field trips - in short, to extend and enhance the curriculum.

The 3 Day Learning Programme for 2010 is scheduled as follows:
- Term 1: Whanau Based     Feb 3-5       (Wed-Frid)
- Term 2: Future Focus         May 19-21  (Wed-Frid)
- Term 3:                                 Sept 15-17  (Wed-Frid)
- Term 4:                                 Dec 1-3        (Wed-Frid)
